Test your mettle on official Spartan Racing Inc. obstacles, pack shelf-stable food for local, at-risk youth, and much more. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bond with your team and create memories to last a lifetime.

Salt Lake City is vibrant with activity. The valley is home to world-renowned ski slopes and resorts, eclectic restaurants, buzzy breweries, expansive outdoor shopping, scenic hiking trails, Broadway theaters, and art exhibits. Explore the city with these points of interest, all within walking or driving distance of the Salt Palace Convention Center.

City Creek Center - 2-minute walk

An expansive outdoor shopping center full of hip retailers, casual dining, and modern architecture. Get a picture in front of the fountain while you’re here.

The Gateway - 13-minute walk

The Gateway blends experiences, shopping, dining, and entertainment. If you stroll through, stop by Hall Pass food hub—the delicious dining is matched by beautiful interior design.

Clark Planetarium - 13-minute walk

Space and the stars are within reach at Clark Planetarium, a downtown exhibit with a breathtaking full-dome and IMAX theaters (plus a ridiculously awesome gift shop).

Salt Lake Valley: A Short Drive Away

Natural History Museum - 15-minute drive

Utah’s rich past and present is on display within the architectural marvel that is the Natural History Museum of Utah at the Rio Tinto Center.

Hogle Zoo - 18-minute drive

A family-favorite destination, Hogle Zoo offers sprawling outdoor expanses with wildlife exhibits ranging from tigers, toads, turkey vultures, and beyond.

Red Butte Garden - 17-minute drive

Beyond the large botanical plant collections and hiking trails, Red Butte Garden holds all sorts of classes fit for any foodie, yogi, or aspiring gardener.

Tracy Aviary & Botanical Garden - 12-minute drive

Take flight with the breathtaking birds at Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park, a beautiful space full of every kind of fine-feathered friend you could imagine.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium - 24-minute drive

Deep-sea cephalopods, adorable river otters, energetic penguins, even spiny toothed sharks—there’s all sorts of aquatic wildlife to experience at the Living Planet Aquarium.

Mystery Escape Room - 12-minute walk

Puzzles to solve, parlors to investigate, challenges to overcome—test your detective skills at the family-friendly Mystery Escape Room, with experiences designed for anyone 8 and older.

Getout Games - 8-minute walk

Getout Games is another intriguing escape room with exotic themes that will have you sneaking into a mob boss’ office or uncovering the shrouded mysteries of a dark pharaoh.

Social Axe Throwing - 10-minute walk

The latest craze sweeping the U.S.—live out weapon-tossing fantasies you didn’t know you had at Social Axe Throwing.

Smash It Rage Rooms - 8-minute drive

It’s simple—take out all your angst by sheer physical force at Smash It Rooms. Break bottles, plaster paint across canvases, and destroy detritus by the pound.

Dave and Busters - 12-minute walk

The adult arcade of your dreams, Dave and Busters is a full-service restaurant, barcade, and sports center located within The Gateway.

Indoor Karting - 30-minute drive

It’s as simple as arrive and drive at Indoor Karting, a go-kart racing attraction with a spacious video game lounge and snack bar.

Level Two Social - 22-minute drive

There’s something for everyone at Level Two—axe throwing, arcade games, food and drinks, and something called “football bowling.”

USANA-Sponsored Activities

Join the USANA family for an organized group activity! Capacity is limited, so register or modify your existing registration soon to add Experience Day activities. Some activities include an additional fee, listed below. Note that all times are listed in Mountain Time.

Cancellation Policy (all USANA-sponsored activities)

  • Tickets that are eligible for a refund must be canceled by August 5 to receive a full refund. Any tickets whose funds are donated to the Garden Tower initiative (Kids Eat Food Pack and Manufacturing Tours) are not eligible for a refund.
  • No refund will be given for those who are unable to attend.

  • After August 5, registration for Experience Day activities can be made onsite, pending availability.

  • 6:00 p.m. MDT on August 19 is the onsite registration deadline. Anything after will be considered standby.

 

Manufacturing Tours - SOLD OUT!

Get an up-close look at USANA’s tablet-manufacturing process and learn what makes our products stand out from the rest. Experience an instructive, 60-minute walkthrough of the tablet manufacturing and packaging areas. (Signup required. Each individual needs to have their own registration ticket.)

  • Cost: US $20 (nonrefundable)
  • Language support: Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish, English.

  • What’s included: Group tours (20 participants max), bus transportation from the Salt Palace Convention Center, and gowning supplies.

    • USANA North will not be part of this tour.

    • Food and drink are not included in the cost.

  • Arrival time and meeting place: Plan to arrive at the Home Office 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled tour. If you are taking the bus, arrive at the pickup spot at the Salt Palace 45–60 minutes before your tour time.

  • Transportation: We recommend taking the bus to the Home Office. Otherwise, plan to meet at the tent in the Home Office parking lot.

    • No luggage is allowed on the bus. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to specified tour times and group size limits.

  • What to wear: Closed-toe shoes and full-length pants are required—no skirts or shorts. No jewelry, except rings, are allowed. Food, drink, and gum are also not allowed. Phones are welcome. This is a walking tour, so wear comfortable shoes.

  • Age restrictions: All participants must be 18 years or older. Please make other arrangements for any children as they cannot be left unattended at the Home Office during your tour.

 

Home Office Tours

No trip to Utah is complete without a tour of USANA’s Home Office. Grab your team and see how our top-of-the-line products are manufactured, explore the USANA North Facility, visit the USANA Foundation, and experience the science and excitement of your Home Office firsthand. Note that Saturday will be quite busy—we recommend planning a tour for Wednesday or Thursday if your schedule allows.

  • Cost: Free

  • Language support: Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish, English

  • What’s included: Group tours (20 participants max per tour) and bus transportation from the Salt Palace.

    • USANA North will be part of this tour.

    • Food and drink are not included.

  • Arrival time and meeting place: Plan on three to four hours for this activity, especially during busy times in the afternoon.

  • Transportation: We recommend taking the bus to the Home Office. Note that no luggage is allowed on the bus, so please make other arrangements.

  • What to wear: This is a walking tour, so wear comfortable clothing and functional shoes.

  • Age restrictions: There are no age restrictions, but please make other arrangements for any children who will not be participating, as they cannot be left unattended at the Home Office during your tour.

 

Kids Eat Food Pack

Volunteer with your team at our state-of-the-art packing facility. Together with Kids Eat, you’ll provide shelf-stable food sources for at-risk youth within 72 schools and organizations across Utah. (Signup required. Each participant needs to have their own registration ticket.)

  • Cost: US $20 (nonrefundable)

    • The full amount of your payment is directly donated to support the Foundation’s Garden Tower initiative.

  • Language support: Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish, English

  • What’s included: Group tours (25 participants max per tour) and bus transportation from the Salt Palace.

    • Food and drink are not included in the cost.

  • Arrival time and meeting place: Plan on one hour for this activity, plus 30–40 minutes for a round-trip bus ride. Plan to arrive at the Home Office 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled tour. If you are taking the bus, arrive at the pickup spot at the Salt Palace 45–60 minutes before your tour time. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to tour times and group size limits.

  • Transportation: We recommend taking the bus to the Home Office. Note that no luggage is allowed on the bus.

  • What to wear: This is a physical activity, so comfortable clothing and functional, closed-toe shoes are required.

  • Age restrictions: All participants must be 7 years or older. Please make other arrangements for any children, as they cannot be left unattended during your tour.

 

Utah Olympic Park

Built for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Utah Olympic Park is located in Park City, 25 miles east of Salt Lake City, Utah. The nearly 400-acre venue houses one of only four sliding tracks in North America, six Nordic ski jumps, a museum, and a multitude of adventure activities. Utah Olympic Park is a dynamic, multi-use facility focused on developing and growing participation in winter sports in the state of Utah and is an official USOC Training Site. (Signup required. Each participant needs to have their own registration ticket.)

  • Cost: US $85
  • What’s included: Bus transportation from the Salt Palace and an unlimited-use pass to all activities, which includes an alpine slide, tubing, ziplining, freestyle zipline, and discovery ropes course, plus access to the Utah Olympic Museum.

  • Arrival time and meeting place: Review arrival and departure times for both sessions below. Please arrive 15–30 minutes early—we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. Note that no luggage is allowed on the bus.

    • Morning session: The bus departs the Salt Palace at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 1:00 p.m.

    • Afternoon session: The bus departs the Salt Palace at noon and will return at 4:00 p.m.

  • What to wear: This is a physical activity, so comfortable clothing and functional, closed-toe shoes are required.

  • Rules and safety: You will need to sign a waiver at the park prior to participating. Below are limitations and safety measures per activity:

    • Extreme tubing: Ages 10 and up for K64; ages 13 and up for K90; guest must fit in tube

    • Extreme zipline: Must be between 100–275 lbs. (45–124 kg)

    • Freestyle zipline: Must be between 50–275 lbs. (43–124 kg)

    • Alpine slide: Must be at least 48” tall to drive; must be at least 3 years of age and under 48” tall to ride as a passenger

    • Discovery course: Must be between 35–225 lbs. (16–102 kg) and under 46” tall

  • Note: A minimum number of 50 participants per booking is required. If this minimum isn’t met, you will receive a full refund.

 

Spartan Race Inc. Obstacles and Course

Spartan Race Inc. does more than test you physically and mentally. They reveal your true, unbreakable potential one epic obstacle at a time. Test your skills on their course obstacles, set up at the Home Office, to get a feel for what a real Spartan race is like. Then share your experience on social with #USANAxSpartan.

  • Cost: Free

  • What’s included: Access to official Spartan obstacles.

  • Hours: The open course will be open from 9:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m. (Final participants will start at 4:45 p.m.)

  • Transportation: We recommend taking the bus to the Home Office. Note that no luggage is allowed on the bus.

  • What to wear: This is a very physical activity, so activewear and functional, closed-toe shoes are required.

  • Rules and safety: All participants must be 16 years or older. A waiver must be filled out before participating. Please make other arrangements for any children, as they cannot be left unattended.
